Ah, December 31st…the very last day of the year. My how time flies! I hope all of you have fun plans for this evening, whether you are going out with a bang at a posh party or watching the ball drop on TV.
The end of the year prompts all of us to look back on what was accomplished and what we hope to achieve in the following year. 2012 was a great year for Teltek! We celebrated our 15th year in business, became certified as an Avaya SME Expert and introduced IT support as a new service to offer our customers.
In January we launched the Teltek IT web site and our IT blog. February was impressive since a few members of Team Teltek achieved CompTIA A+ Certification! The month of May was noteable for a Bourbon Tasting event we co-hosted with our Glass Jacobson friends at the Havana Club and a Smart Reader Lunch and Learn with the BBJ.
June was the month our “Ask The Teltek Tekspert” column made its debut and we were featured as the Carroll Technology Council’s Member of the Month! A third Teltek office in Bethesda was opened in July.
In September, we were an exhibitor at the Maryland Society of Accountants “Gear Up Technology” seminar and Teltek was featured in a Carroll County Times story on tech companies who continue to succeed in a depressed economy.
October was a very social month for us. We sponsored the Carroll Technology Council’s evening networking event at Stables and held our annual Margarita Party complete with a pirate theme! In November we collected a truckload of donations for victims of Super Storm Sandy. Four new employees joined the Teltek team this year and we had our company holiday party at Medieval Times in December.
Other big moments of 2012 include the London Olympics, President Obama’s re-election and the fact that the world did not end on 12/21/12 as some had predicted. Baltimore also had an impressive 2012. The Grand Prix returned for a second year and the awesome Blue Angels performed here in June as part of Baltimore’s Sailabration festivities.
